The marketing department at King Financial Network took a time out with Linda Kubit, the Director of Insurance Planning to learn a little bit about her world in and out of the office.

NEAL:

What’s the most important aspect about what you do?

LINDA:

What I provide is a crucial step in the financial planning process…Life and long-term care Insurance.

NEAL:

Why is that crucial?

LINDA:

Without it that child, spouse, life partner, or parent that depends on you or your income is in jeopardy should something happen to you. And should a life changing event happen – you want to be in a position to be cared for without becoming a burden to your loved ones.

NEAL:

Sounds scary.

LINDA:

Well it is. I mean I don’t mean to scare anyone but having life and long-term care insurance is a the smartest part of protecting your future.

NEAL:

How do I know how much insurance I need?

LINDA:

A good rule of thumb is purchasing life insurance equal to 10 times your salary.

NEAL:

So I would get $3,000 worth.

LINDA:

You make $300 dollars a year?

NEAL:

Sometimes it feels like it. But I digress…What types of policies for life insurance are there?

LINDA:

In general there are two types of policies, Term & Permanent.

NEAL:

What’s the difference?

LINDA:

Term is temporary and lasts for a specific amount of time such as ten, fifteen, twenty, or 30 year policies.  Whereas Permanent policies offer life-long protection.

NEAL:

How do I know which to get?

LINDA:

It depends on your personal situation and what financial goals you want to accomplish. That’s where our team at King Financial comes in. We will take a comprehensive look into what will be best on all aspects of your financial well-being including insurance.

NEAL:

Ok enough about insurance. What’s your favorite meal?

LINDA:

Shrimp Parmesan.

NEAL:

Favorite place to visit?

LINDA:

Spain.

NEAL:

Favorite TV show?

LINDA:

Big Bang Theory.

NEAL:

Is that because you’re into into insurance?

LINDA:

No. Haha. Just a darn good show.
